Introducing the Komfort KOC20 Cement XPS Overlay Panel which are designed to provide superior insulation and support for underfloor heating systems.

Available in a 20mm thicknesses, these boards are made from 400 KPA extruded polystyrene (XPS), offering excellent thermal insulation and compressive strength.

Both sides of the board are coated with a durable cement layer, providing a stable surface suitable for direct application of marble, stone and tiles or levelling compounds for other floor coverings.

  • Water Absorption: 0.6%
  • Temperature Range: -50°C to 70°C
  • Fire Performance: Class 0 / Euro Classification E
  • USP: Omega grooves for easy installation
  • Suitable Floor Coverings: Tiles can be laid directly, or a 10mm levelling compound can be used for other floor coverings.

How many boards do you need? Calculation Example: 20m2 divide by 0.72 = 28 Panels.

Key Features:

  • Material: High-density extruded polystyrene with reinforced cement coating.
  • Strength: Excellent impact and compressive strength.
  • Cutting: Can be easily cut using conventional tools.
  • Bonding: Exhibits good bonding properties for cement-based tile adhesives (Note: Solvent-based products must not be used).
  • Moisture Resistance: Ideal for installation in wet areas like bathrooms, where moisture exposure is common.

Floor Coverings / Finishes:

  • Tiles and Stone: Tiles can normally be fixed directly to the cement-coated surface using a flexible tile adhesive after priming where required.
  • Laminate and Engineered Wood : A minimum of 7 mm thick flexible, cement-based levelling screed is required.
  • LVT, Vinyl and Carpet: These floor finishes should not be installed directly onto the boards. Prime the surface and apply approximately 10mm of fibre-reinforced self-levelling compound before laying the final floor covering. For carpet installations, the combined carpet and underlay rating should not exceed 2.0 tog.
  • Supporting Floor Surface: The KOC20 overlay board cannot be laid directly onto joists; it must be installed on a supportive floor surface, such as plywood or floor-grade chipboard.

Usage Recommendations: Ideal for applications in areas with high moisture, the KOC20 Overlay Panel is a versatile solution for enhancing flooring systems while providing essential moisture protection and structural support.
